Registration Opens for NAQP Print Owners Conference

Press release from the issuing company

July 17, 2008 (Des Plaines, Ill.) – The National Association of Quick Printers, NAQP, has announced that registration is now open for the 2008 NAQP Owners Conference. Currently in its eighth year, the 2008 conference, themed "Success by Design," will help attendees lay the groundwork to create and execute a business plan and measure the results. The conference will take place October 23-26, 2008, at the InterContinental Hotel in Chicago, Ill. in advance of Graph Expo.

"Success is not something that just happens on its own. It requires planning and strategic implementation," states NAQP President and CEO Steve Johnson. "Business owners can learn a great deal from others about charting their own path to success. Our aim with this year's conference is to provide business owners with access to industry experts who can help them with practical steps they can take to further grow and sustain their business, even in these challenging economic times."

The NAQP Owners Conference, whose attendance has grown consistently over the years and which hosted more than 300 attendees in 2007, will feature the following general sessions:

    •    Managing the Business When YOU ARE the Business
    •    Taking Stock, Taking Action: Managing Your Business in an Uncertain Economy
    •    Four Generations in Your Workforce
    •    The Truth About Success

A variety of breakout sessions will be offered, including VDP Solutions for Quick and Small Commercial Printers, Best Practices for Achieving Consistent Color, Online and Traditional Social Networking, Supplier Partner Sessions, Getting Into the Sign Business, Staffing for Digital Work, Challenges of Being a Selling Owner, It's Not Easy Being Green, Small Box Fulfillment for Printers, and M&A Transactions.

As part of the four-day conference, the NAQP Awards Luncheon will celebrate the winners of NAQP's 2008 PrintImage Excellence Awards printing competition, sponsored by Kodak. Recipients of the association's highest honors, the Industry Award of Distinction, the Honorary Lifetime Member and the 2008 Printer of the Year, will also be recognized at the luncheon.

"This year we moved our highly popular Ideas Exchange to a key morning slot," notes Johnson. "As in the past, we will award cash prizes to participants who bring with them the best ideas they have applied to build a profitable business. Like the entire conference, the Idea Exchange really underscores the value of a venue where business owners within our industry can come together and share ideas, their knowledge and real-world experience while learning from dedicated industry experts to help their businesses succeed."

Canon, Kodak, Konica Minolta and Printer's Plan are this year's conference sponsors. They join 2008 NAQP Annual Sponsors Presstek and Xerox in making this conference a success.
