Canadian Printing Resources Converts to CtP

Friday, May 23, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

(May 22, 2008) Fujifilm Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the recent installation of a processless CtP solution at Canadian Printing Resources Inc., an FSC certified trade printer located in Toronto.  Canadian Printing Resources explored a great variety of options for their first generation CtP before deciding to go with Fujifilm Javelin 8300S with Pro-T plates, Trueflow workflow, and Epson 9880 proofer.  Joe Fiorillo, the owner, said, “We had specific needs.  We were looking for a reliable and supportive supplier for our first CtP that would image 40” plates, and it also had to be environmentally friendly.” Referring to his decision, Mr. Fiorillo said,  “I was very pleased with the smooth integration both at prepress and pressroom levels.  We were anticipating a 6-month’s conversion period, but we completely switched over to CtP in only 30 days”.

Fujifilm Canada (Graphic Systems) offers seamless end-to-end services, products, and support to its customers in the graphic communications industry.  Its wide variety of products ranges from the highest quality consumables including plates, display graphics inks, and pressroom chemistry, leading-edge equipment including CtP systems, digital presses, and display graphics devices, to unparalleled professional services consultation services covering areas from colour management to pressroom audits.

Canadian Printing Resources is a family owned FSC certified trade printer located in Toronto.  Established in 1983, Canadian Printing Resources employs 27 full time staff providing one stop printing solutions to customers in Southern Ontario.  Canadian Printing Resources will be adding a new 40” press to its portfolio of presses this summer at which point they will be able to take full advantage of their brand new 8-page platesetter and other finishing equipment.
