Watkiss Named Xerox Partner of the Year

Friday, February 20, 2009

Press release from the issuing company

Watkiss Automation Limited was named Xerox Corporation  2008 Outstanding Finishing Partner of the Year in Delivery Performance for its continued contribution to Xerox, its customers and the printing industry. The award was among 16 Xerox presented to 15 partner firms for superior digital workflow software and finishing solutions.

Through the Xerox Business Partner Programme, Watkiss Automation supplies the Watkiss PowerSquare 200 book maker as a finishing solution for the Xerox Nuvera EA Production Systems and Xerox Nuvera 288 Perfecting Production System.  This solution was first exhibited at Drupa 2008 and now has numerous installations throughout the United States and Europe.

The innovative PowerSquare 200 is a complete book making system that stitches, folds, forms a SquareBack spine and trims the pages to size in one pass.  The maximum book thickness, of 10mm (equivalent to 200 pages 80gsm/22lb bond), is double that of alternative conventional booklet making machines, so it is ideally suited to higher paginations or to thicker stocks.

Paul Attew, Sales Director of Watkiss Automation comments "We are delighted to receive this award, not least because this is our first year in the Xerox Business Partner Programme.  This unique programme enables customers to benefit from the expertise of both Xerox and of Watkiss as the product manufacturer. This collaboration ensures that customers get the best solution for their needs, followed up by the best after sales support."

The Xerox Business Partner of the Year awards are presented annually by the Xerox Global Business & Strategic Marketing Group, which brings to market the full portfolio of Xerox document solutions, software and systems for production and office environments. The awards honor business partners that contributed most significantly to the business success of Xerox and its customers.
