GSI Receives Award from IDTechEX Printed Electronics Europe

BURR RIDGE, Illinois, April 24, 2008 – GSI Technologies, LLC, an industry leader in Functional PrintingTM and industrial graphic products, was honored with the Best Commercialization Award during the recent IDTechEX Printed Electronics Europe Conference. The Printed Electronics Awards are the industry's premier accolade celebrating excellence in business achievement, innovation and success. Over 600 delegates from 28 countries were present at the IDTechEX event held April 8-9, in Dresden, Germany.

Companies vying for the Best Commercialization Award were judged on the basis of having created a successful business selling printed electronic products. GSI Technologies is a manufacturer of a variety of functional printed products including medical devices, smart card inlays, printed displays, EL Lamps, and antennas. Its largest printed electronic product line is a biomedical sensor with a production volume of greater than 1 billion units per year and a % yield of >99.5%, monitored with real-time SPC and 100% automated visual inspection.

Adam Laubach, Chief Technology Officer and General Manager of GSI Technology's Functional Printing division had this to say during the presentation: "I am proud to accept this award on behalf of our customers who brought us the opportunities and entrusted us to deliver their development and production needs; our engineers and production personnel; and our investors who supported the vision.
