(June 11, 2008) As Drupa draws to a close CGS Publishing Technologies global leader of color management solutions, digital proofing solutions and specially-formulated media, reports it exceeded all the goals, set for Drupa 08 held in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Trevor Haworth, CEO of CGS, commenting on Drupa stated, "Prior to Drupa we set a number of key goals and initiatives for the premier worldwide graphic communications event which closes today.  Our goals included sales of new color management software, meeting new and existing customers, finalizing new distribution agreements, launching new products and launching a new corporate identity.  He went on to say, we are extremely pleased with our accomplishments at Drupa.  We exceeded all of our goals".

New ORIS Sales

Traffic in the ORIS booth located in the new hall 8b next to its partners FujiFilm, Xerox, and Screen was very heavy for the entire show. Many new prospects and current customers visited during the show. A significant number of sales were closed including a six-figure order from a single customer for ORIS Ink Saver, ORIS Press Matcher and the new ORIS PearlProof Super Glossy paper.

New Distributors Appointed

During Drupa 2008 CGS appointed new distributors for Belgium and Turkey. These announcements are made in addition to the announcement of the opening of a new CGS office in Hong Kong and the appointment of Fuji Xerox as the distributor of ORIS products in Australia and New Zealand.

New Product Introductions

At Drupa 2008 CGS launched several new products and new releases of existing products with new features and benefits. The most dramatic announcements were:

ORIS Hybrid Proofing – blending inkjet and virtual proofing into one system providing the benefits of both proofing technologies in a cost effective and productive package.

ORIS Color Tuner Web – allows users to control print jobs from anywhere in the world using a standard web browser.  The web interface effectively integrates ORIS Color Tuner, ORIS Soft Proof and ORIS Certified Proof.

ORIS PearlProof Super Glossy paper is one of the very first glossy papers that is free of optical brightners.

New Corporate Identify

CGS utilized Drupa as the venue to launch its new corporate design and ORIS product branding.  The new look of CGS signifies the start of a new era in providing color management and proofing solutions to printers, corporate brands, publishers, catalogers and ad agencies globally.

In closing, Trevor Haworth commented," This Drupa has been the best in CGS history.  We met all our goals but the most important goal achieved was setting the stage for future growth and expansion of CGS worldwide."
