Press release from the issuing company

04/04/2007 -- It is the seventh time that the Print Media Academy (PMA) of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG will host the Summer University in Heidelberg. International managers from the print media industry will be taking part in a five-and-a-half day course from July 22-27, 2007 in Heidelberg that aims to provide them with further training and the opportunity to share experiences and exchange success strategies. "In today’s dynamic markets, it is more important than ever that managers keep up-to-date with the latest developments and business strategies,” says Bernd Schopp, Head of the Print Media Academy. The PMA Summer University gives managers the chance to take part in a compact training course that will enable them to prepare their companies to face the challenges of the future head on. This year’s Summer University will focus on transferring practical know-how. A team of renowned experts will show the participants how to position their companies successfully in an increasingly global market and make them aware of how they can take advantage of available opportunities. The lectures and seminars cover the entire business management spectrum - from process management, strategy development and HR management to finances and controlling. Participants will have the chance to work with the experts to analyze the feasibility and sustainability of various models and strategies based on a number of case studies. At the same time, they can use the workshops to exchange their own ideas with the experts and other group members to optimize their business strategies. The Summer University has established itself as an international forum for the print media industry, attracting top executives from all over the world to Heidelberg. The event also gives participants from different countries the opportunity to talk informally about their experiences, to make personal contacts and establish international networks. The Summer University is rounded off by an attractive supporting program, including guided tours through the historical city of Heidelberg and the company’s Wiesloch-Walldorf plant. The latter gives participants the chance to gain an interesting insight into production processes at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. Participant numbers are limited to 25. The conference fee is 2,700 Euro plus VAT. The seminar will be held in English.
