SynQ Adopts OASymbio as Solution for Automation Needs

Press release from the issuing company

Houston, TX. 16th July 2007.  OASymbio, the suite of production management tools from Objective Advantage (OA), has been chosen by leading marketing communications company SynQ, to streamline its workflow processes and increase production efficiencies.
SynQ, formerly known as Imaging Technologies Services, is a leading communications consultancy that applies technology to optimize the execution of every step of a marketing campaign. From the initial concept to shipment and fulfillment, SynQ provides the complete business solution. As one of the country’s largest fully integrated distribution networks with hubs in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Jacksonville, FL, SynQ recognized the need to automate its production processes to enable it to keep pace with the increasing demands of its clients and to facilitate the rapid expansion of its operations.
“Our volumes of work were increasing so rapidly we were literally looking at doubling our current staffing levels just to cope with the workload,” commented David Nicolleta, Vice President of Operations at SynQ.  “We needed to do something fast and were therefore looking for a company that was flexible enough to work with our current system and IT department to create a solution for us to manage the influx of jobs.”
SynQ looked at several off-the-shelf solutions but found them all to be too limiting for their specific needs before being introduced to OA.
“As a developer and integrator of customized total solutions, Objective Advantage was just what we were looking for”, continued Nicolleta.  “They were happy to work alongside our own internal teams and integrate stock features of OASymbio to custom-build a solution to suit our exact needs.  In addition, OA’s flexibility, expertise and understanding of our industry meant that we can roll out our new automated workflow solution much sooner than anticipated, and at a much reduced cost.”
With the addition of OASymbio, SynQ can offer enhanced customer service through improved production turnaround times without the need to invest in additional staff.  SynQ will use OASymbio to receive jobs centrally to its Atlanta facility and then route them as needed to its other production hubs, depending on the specific production technologies required to produce each job.
“SynQ’s production distribution network is such that considerable benefits can be achieved by introducing automated workflows, which can reduce the need for manual intervention throughout the production process and therefore increase output efficiencies,” commented Gareth O’Brien, Chief Executive of Objective Advantage.
OASymbio Suite is a collection of tools that uses PDF and JDF standards to automate production, providing print service providers with an end-to-end print production workflow that delivers a competitive advantage.  By facilitating preparation for specific press and finishing systems, OASymbio shortens processing times thus increasing the number of jobs produced while eliminating the need for hiring and training additional staff. This increases printers’ ROI and allows them the flexibility of greater interaction and improved responsiveness with customers and vendors.
