PECAS Vision ERP Helps Multi-Color Corporation Consolidate

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, IL – March 11, 2008 - Radius Solutions Ltd., the leading integrated Business Information Management/Enterprise Resource Planning provider for the Packaging and Printing industry, announced that Multi-Color Corporation has implemented PECAS Vision in three additional facilities.  Multi-Color Corporation is leveraging PECAS Vision as its standard business information management platform across all of its operations.

Founded in 1916 and Headquartered in Cincinnati, Multi-Color Corporation is a premier provider of packaging services and decorating solutions to over 650 customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central and South America.  It is the world's largest producer of in-mold labels and heat transfer labels and its customers include the world's leading producers of health and beauty, food and beverage, personal care, automotive and household consumer brands.  The company focuses heavily on continuous improvement, employing lean manufacturing principles to help increase efficiencies, drive down costs in the value chain and pass on superior value to its clients.

As part of its growth strategy, Multi-Color Corporation acquired NorthStar Print Group, Inc., the label manufacturing subsidiary of Journal Communications.  In order for the organization to realize the full potential of its acquisition, it was imperative that it integrate the three NorthStar plants, to enable transactions and visibility across all eight plants.

The company wanted to standardize on a single ERP/MIS solution and embrace best practices across all facilities, in order to leverage the skill set and information it already had in place.  This included common reporting from all plants in order to gain insight into the acquired plants and to enable them to better utilize all available capacity for optimized performance.

"Prior to the implementation of PECAS Vision in the additional facilities, we had very limited visibility into the NorthStar plants.  They were independent and we never knew if we were comparing apples to apples when we looked at the same metrics.  Today we can run standard reports, such as the waste report, for each plant, break things into standard categories, and allow an even comparison of the performance at each facility", said Greg Myers, Vice President of Information Technology for Multi-Color Corporation.

In addition to continuous improvement, Multi-Color Corporation also focuses on providing a comprehensive strategic partnership to its clients.  The company strives to help its customers find the best strategies and decorating technologies to meet their needs and add the most value.  "PECAS Vision is fully integrated from front end operations through to shipping.  This allows us to respond quickly to our customers, and helps us utilize the most efficient means of running each project across whichever plant capabilities best meet the needs of the job.  It is a competitive advantage to be able to quickly and easily do what we need to do and provide customers with the kind of service they are looking for. That is what it is all about in the end", stated Mr. Myers

Multi-Color Corporation has been a long standing client of Radius Solutions, using the full PECAS Vision ERP system across all of its operations.  "It's a pleasure to work with Multi-Color Corporation.  We are pleased that they can rely on PECAS Vision for their existing operations, and also as a solution that can be quickly deployed across new facilities, without disruption to their outstanding customer service", said David Taylor, President and CEO of Radius Solutions.
