Finlay Installs Two New HP Indigo Presses

Press release from the issuing company

Nov. 12, 2007 - Bloomfield, CT - Finlay Printing, recently installed both the New HP 5500 and HP S2000 Indigo presses. In addition to these new HP presses, Finlay has 2 HP 3050 Indigo presses. The 131 year old provider of high quality printing, fulfillment, digital printing, and marketing services saw the integration of these two new presses as a perfect addition to its quickly growing digital offering.
"All of our customers expect the highest quality products possible from us every day," says Todd Kalagher, President of Finlay. He continues "The 5500's ability to print a 230 line screen and color match our 40" sheetfed work was pivotal in our decision to upgrade to this press".
The HP S2000 Indigo is a 6-color specialty substrate press. It gives Finlay the ability to print on heavy substrates, clear vinyl and can print lenticular products as well. It also has Indigo's one-shot technology that allows a solid white to printed on any substrate.
Finlay's rapid growth has been fueled by its utilization of the most up-to-date technologies. Being a JDF-compliant printer makes it very manageable for Finlay to seamlessly integrate new technologies such as the 5500. Kalagher adds "The automation and JDF integration offered by HP will greatly help us streamline the process and keep us very competitive".
