Videk Awarded GSA Contract

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, NY – Videk, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has recently been awarded a Federal Supply Schedule contract from the General Services Administration (GSA), effective April 6, 2007. This award, under Federal Supply Schedule Group 36 - # GS-25F-0021T, simplifies the procurement process for Federal Government Agencies, as well as other authorized customers, by eliminating the need for RFPs and offering a reduction in both lead time and product pricing. “To be accepted as a preferred vendor of the Federal Government is quite an honor and, I am sure, will prove to be a very favorable partnership. GSA recognition will help to increase Videk’s customer base and product reach, as Federal Agencies and authorized customers alike will have access to a wider array of products with minimal lead times and pricing discounts” noted Dick Schieck, Videk’s Vice President of Business Services. A number of Videk’s print vision products are included on the GSA Schedule. Already in use by the US Treasury, Videk’s Print Verification System (PVS) is a freestanding web transport with fully integrated inspection system that can be positioned in-line with a continuous feed laser printer. Accommodating web speeds up to 65ips (325 fpm), this system’s line-scan vision captures full-page images of the front and back of each document. Videk’s Fail-Safe Intelligent Triggering feature assures that every is document scanned and inspected. The onboard inspection system, powered by Videk’s DocuVision software, performs all the desired quality and accuracy checks with unmatched swiftness. Also included on the GSA Schedule are the InserterVision one-camera scanning system, the PostnetVerifier - a line scan “smart camera” which inspects the quality of postal codes as they are printed, and the VisionSensor 2020, a hand-held code reader.
