Tower Announces Low Voc Products

Press release from the issuing company

January 2008 - (Lehigh Valley, PA) Tower Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of environmentally sensitive pressroom chemistry, has announced that an innovative, new technology is available to printers in Southern California to comply with new VOC regulations (Rule 1171) that go into effect in January 1, 2008.
LO-VO Wash CA-100 exceeds the stringent new regulations for roller and blanket washes that direct printers to use press washes with a VOC content of under 100 grams per liter. The product is formulated for sheetfed and web printers that require solid cleaning power and a product that can be used both manually and in automatic blanket wash units. LO-VO Wash CA-100 features a low odor, a very high flashpoint of 221 degrees F and is water miscible. The product does not contain acetone, a very flammable material sometimes used to decrease VOC content.
Tower also offers a unique rinse agent for use in the water reservoir of the automatic blanket wash system to help eliminate any residue normally associated with a low VOC wash. This product, Tower 250 WA is added at 5% to the water reservoir and is non-flammable and virtually VOC free. Using LO-VO Wash CA- 100 in combination with Tower 250 WA will give the printer an unmatched product system that will comply with the regulations and minimize press downtime and clean effectively. Tower brand pressroom chemical products are available throughout the world from authorized Tower distributors.
