Pitney Bowes Showcases Communication Intelligence in the Mailstream at Graph Expo 2006

STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 12 -- Pitney Bowes Inc., the mailstream technology company, will showcase leading-edge mailstream solutions at Graph Expo 2006, America's number one printing and graphics communications event, to be held in Chicago, IL, October 15 - 18, 2006. Pitney Bowes will be located at Booth 2063. "We look forward to showcasing our mailstream solutions at Graph Expo," said Murray Martin, President and COO of Pitney Bowes. "We will be demonstrating how Pitney Bowes solutions help customers reduce operating costs, maximize productivity and increase revenues." "Graph Expo is the ideal forum for connecting with clients and prospects who want to leverage communication intelligence in their operations," said Leslie Abi Karam, President of Pitney Bowes Document Management Technologies. "Communication Intelligence does not begin and end in a database, it runs across the entire mailstream with production intelligence, customer intelligence and channel intelligence. We will demonstrate how to apply this to reduce costs, increase print and mail production efficiency and, most importantly, drive customer response." Special guest William "Refrigerator" Perry will be signing autographs at the Pitney Bowes Booth 2063 on Monday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. CT. Perry was a first round draft pick for the Chicago Bears who retired in 1994 after 11 years as a pro. This year, Pitney Bowes will introduce new mailstream solutions that deliver high quality, productivity and speed to transactional and direct mail operations. The industry-leading Pitney Bowes APS(TM) Advanced Productivity Series inserting system will be on display with a new high productivity input which will dramatically increase productivity for multiple page-count applications such as telecommunications and utility bills. The APS(TM) inserter includes the new Twist-No-Twist module that automatically adapts to face up or face down printing ensuring the proper orientation at the collation stage. The APS(TM) application also highlights Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software's data quality, business geographics, document composition and postal efficiency solutions. Pitney Bowes Emtex will also highlight their robust output print management solutions, fully integrated with DFWorks to provide high integrity end-to-end job tracking. A new solution for the growing direct mail market will also be introduced -- the FlowMaster RS inserter, equipped with servo-powered rotary feeders. The FlowMaster RS inserter will also be integrated with the Flexible Bindery Interface processing a folded, one-page personalized direct mail application. In addition, the system will demonstrate integrity scanning, variable, high-definition graphics and text printed on the envelope in real time. Sure-Feed Engineering, acquired by Pitney Bowes in June 2006, located in adjacent Booth 2463, will showcase its direct mail solutions including card affixing and paper feeding accessories. Pitney Bowes Global Mailstream Solutions will showcase software capabilities including its AddressRIGHT Pro software, which delivers a comprehensive mail management solution that supports a complete range of presort methods, and PB First(TM) document processing software, which manages mailings by importing, reformatting and enhancing electronic print or data files. Both products are designed to provide cost savings, greater flexibility and document integrity. Also featured will be the DI950 Series inserting system, an automated mail folding and inserting desktop device that helps businesses improve the speed, accuracy and efficiency of outgoing mail communication. The DI950 is an integrated system that combines advanced software and leading-edge paper handling technology designed specifically to meet the high-end demands of mailers who run a wide variety of jobs, including "print on demand" marketing campaigns. In addition, attendees will see the DA950 AddressRIGHT addressing system, a high-speed, desktop envelope imaging system which offers advanced clarity, spot color capability and enhanced productivity. These systems will be interfaced with the DM1000(TM) digital mailing system, which offers patented Weigh-On-The-Way(TM) weighing technology and meets the demands of high-volume mailers and can feed, seal, post and stack mail at speeds of up to 260 pieces per minute and offers exclusive mail services through IntelliLink technology. On Wednesday, October 18 at 12:30 p.m., Nick Khatri, Worldwide Marketing Manager for Emtex, a Pitney Bowes Company, will present "A Common Sense Approach to Building an ADF" in the Mailing and Fulfillment Theater located at Booth 3071.
