Flint Group Printing Plates Conducts Tradeshop Forum in Chicago

Press release from the issuing company

Tradeshop representatives from across the US and Canada converged in Chicago on September 13 and 14, 2006 to hear the latest developments in photopolymer printing technology and to share their interests and concerns as they relate to the flexographic printing industry. Flint Group Printing Plates presented its newly commercialized nyloflex infinity sleeve technology to a packed room of nearly 50 attendees. This technology will allow tradeshops, who conduct pre-press operations and process flexo printing plates for printers, to produce seamless polymer sleeves in-house and just-in-time. Other topics included global trends in the flexo market, optimum printing plate and cushion tape combinations, actual status of laser engraving and the history of Flint Group’s achievements in the development of printing plates during the last 40 years. The forum also included a series of interactive focus group discussions on the state of the industry and the challenges that tradeshops face in the future of flexo printing. These round-table discussions brought about many interesting issues that Flint Group Printing Plates can further examine as it continues the development of tools that will assist tradeshops in gaining flexo market share.
