Graphic Systems Group Expands Online Client Interface With Mediabeacon R3Volution Digital Asset Management System

Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK – August 21, 2006 -- Graphic Systems Group, New York’s largest production agency announced today that they have installed and implemented an innovative and more robust digital asset management system to electronically manage the estimated one million internal and client files. Graphic Systems Group (or GSG) is known for its work with many of New York’s most prominent marketers, including Major League Baseball, Citibank, Elizabeth Arden, Maybelline, Revlon, Estée Lauder, NBC, and Aéropostale. GSG’s production staff is constantly developing new and re-versioned artwork, ads and promotional materials for their clients. The newly implemented MediaBeacon R3volution digital asset management system enables GSG to accelerate productivity by inventorying production files and page elements in a manner that allows for faster tracking and access. The secure system also enables GSG’s clients to view, download and convert production files on the fly, as well as digitally proof jobs online. Installed in June, the MediaBeacon system is already fully operational. For more information on GSG, go to www.graphicsys.com. GSG Quote “BrighTech offers GSG and our clients a revolutionary tool to network our production databases with clients worldwide,” noted Ken Madsen, owner and partner, GSG. Far beyond a standard media asset management solution, MediaBeacon is the premier tool for clients to access and convert production files [in batch process] into the formats they need, on the fly. In other words, a client can download a large string of JPEG files and convert them into GIFs and 3GPPs for internet production applications. For example, 15-second TV spots produced in New York can be transformed into 3GPPs and distributed in Japan as ads on cell phones. MediaBeacon also allows GSG to stay ahead of the curve with conversion to metadata or XMP formats. And because MediaBeacon can sync up with other MediaBeacon databases around the world [as well as non-MediaBeacon data banks], it allows GSG to link small islands of information into one connected continent. Clients everywhere [with permission] will be able to access banks of files quickly and re-purpose digital assets for multi-media campaigns in any format, for any purpose.”
