Graphics of the Americas and Xplor Name 2007 and 2008 Event Dates

Miami Beach, Florida– August 10, 2006– Graphics of the Americas, the second largest U.S.-based annual international graphic communications exhibit and conference, today named their 2007 and 2008 event dates. For 2007, Graphics of the Americas-Xplor exhibition will take place March 2 through 4 and Xplor’s conference program on February 28 through March 4, 2007. For 2008, the exhibition takes place February 28 through March 1, 2008 and Xplor’s conference February 27 through March 1, 2008. Both will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, which has become home to Graphics of the Americas for over two decades. For 2007, Graphics of the Americas-Xplor will host a number of new exhibition features and together with Xplor’s conference programs, offer exhibitors and attendees a wide variety of opportunities to see the latest printing and graphic arts equipment, high-volume digital printing systems, products and technology and choose from over 200 educational courses. In addition to the exhibition and conference, the event will also host a number of evening events designed to encourage informal networking and provide a forum to exchange ideas. “Last years blended events were a tremendous success as they went beyond our expectations,” said Chris Price, vice president and general manager for Graphics of the Americas. “We exceeded the previous year by 14%, totaling approximately 24,000 attendees, filling the Miami Beach Convention Center with over 1200 booths that represented a 10% increase over 2005. In addition, next year’s date change will give attendees a better opportunity to evaluate and purchase from one of the broadest arrays of printing and graphic arts showcases of the new year.” Exhibition Blends New and Traditional Attractions For 2007, Graphics of the Americas exhibition will once again feature a number of popular exhibit attractions including Adobe’s Theatre, Definitely Digital Highway, Design City, On Demand Book Making Factory, Printers’ Showcase and Wide Format Hall. New for 2007, the exhibition will also feature the XML/PDF Pavilion, where attendees can experience the latest software innovations for the industry, Substrate Central that will feature the latest paper and unique substrate offerings as well as the Web to Print Shoot-out, featuring the latest e-commerce and web-based variable-data printing technologies. Xplor’s conference program, renamed for 2007 as Xplor International’s Document University, will feature a streamlined and simplified conference featuring 22 individual courses, containing over 200 educational classes along with 4 document knowledge and best practices forums. In addition, the organizers have expanded the conference curricula to attract executive and senior level management, recommenders, consultants and influencers, technical staff and implementers as well as sales and operations personnel. Together, the combined conference and exhibit will provide both attendees and exhibitors with a comprehensive and robust event that provides both end-users and printers with a one-of-a kind showcase for the convergence of knowledge, products and technology. In addition, the combined event taps the strengths of both organizations, bridging the gap between digital and non-digital worlds that are both education and exhibit oriented.
