Amerikal Enters Strategic Partnership with Oxy-Dry

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (June 2, 2006) -- Robert T. Danielson, Jr., vice president of business development and sales for Amerikal Products Corporation is pleased to announce the company has entered a strategic partnership with Oxy-Dry Corporation to develop and manufacture Oxy-Dry Ecoclean, a Genesis product. The partnership is the first of its kind for Amerikal and will allow Oxy-Dry customers to begin utilizing Ecoclean in an effort to replace petroleum based and hazardous washes. “We developed Ecoclean because Oxy-Dry wanted a product that was safer for its customers and would aid in reducing the environmental impact of our industry,” said Danielson. “Ecoclean is made of non-hazardous materials such as soy and other renewable resources developed in the United States. We are hopeful that more printers and suppliers will begin demanding environmentally responsible chemicals and washes in their pressroom. It’s a change for the better and one that our industry has needed to embrace for many years.” Through the new strategic partnership, more than 1,800 Oxy-Dry Automatic Blanket Washer customers worldwide will be able to utilize Ecoclean. Ecoclean is made of 90% American-made renewable resources and can be used to clean any type of ink including cold set, heat set, energy curable and can be utilized on both rollers and blankets.
