ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 23 -- Eastman Kodak Company has named Kenneth Swanson to the position of Director, Business Development for its Graphic Communications Group (GCG). Swanson has more than 25 years of sales, marketing, business development, technology and operations experience in the graphic communications industry. At Kodak, Swanson will be responsible for developing new business opportunities for GCG through external partnerships and relationships, and through the incubation and development of new technologies and product concepts. He will serve as the primary contact and liaison with key external partners. Swanson will report to Jeffrey Hayzlett, Chief Marketing Officer, GCG. “Ken’s broad based experience in business development, strategic planning, operations and technology will bring additional leadership skills to our marketing organization,” said Hayzlett. “He has a track record of success wherever he has been, and we are thrilled to add another seasoned leader to our GCG marketing team.” Swanson most recently served as senior vice president at Bowne & Company, the world’s largest financial printer and a diversified global document and information management solutions provider, based in New York City. “I look forward to applying my business development skills to help Kodak develop the strong strategic partnerships needed to succeed in today’s complex graphic communications market,” said Swanson. “By developing the right strategic partnerships, Kodak will be able to deliver even greater value to its customers.” Earlier in his career, Swanson held management positions at a number of graphic communications and printing companies, including L.P. Thebault Company and Anderson Lithograph.
