Alpine Printing Boosts Profitability with Printmaster PM 52 Press from Heidelberg Alpine Printing, based in Arvada, Colo., recently installed a 4-color Printmaster PM 52 press with perfector from Heidelberg to increase efficiency in the short-run four-color market. The new PM 52 complements the shop's existing 4-color Speedmaster SM 74 press from Heidelberg. Since the installation, Alpine Printing reports increased profitability due to faster turnaround times and the PM 52's easy operation. The shop uses the new press to produce an assortment of materials, including brochures, direct mail pieces and newsletters. Since the installation, the shop reports a 20 percent increase in productivity due to the XL 105's automation and features. Increases Efficiency with Printmaster PM 52 Press from Heidelberg The General Secretariat of the Franciscan Missions, Inc., located in Burlington, Wis., recently installed a 4-color Printmaster PM 52 press from Heidelberg to upgrade technology and increase efficiency. Since the installation, the shop reports increases in capacity and productivity due to faster makeready times. Averaging 55,000 impressions per day, the in-plant printer uses the new press to produce brochures, newsletters and greeting cards for the Franciscan Missions. The new cutter was added to optimize production in the all-Heidelberg shop's new facility, opening in May 2006. Since the installation, PrintingforLess.com reports increases in productivity and efficiency. The shop uses the new cutter primarily to cut parent stock.
