Press release from the issuing company

ATLANTA--April 25, 2006-- Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today introduced the Lanier LDD280, a high-speed digital duplicator that delivers up to 135 pages per minute at 600 dpi. It includes advanced master-and-ink technology for incomparable image quality and it delivers a low cost per page in high-volume environments. The LDD280 will be available immediately. "Organizations printing long runs no longer have to compromise image quality for high-speed performance," said Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of Marketing for Lanier. "The LDD280 completes high-volume print jobs with incredible efficiency and accuracy. It enables central reprographics departments, print shops in hospitals and universities, and print-for-pay providers to produce more print jobs in less time and for less cost. With its powerful combination of speed, image quality, and reliability, the LDD280 is the premier digital duplicator for affordable, high-volume output." The LDD280 includes several enhanced print features for unsurpassed image quality. A robust, high-quality master system offers thicker film and an additional porous layer to disperse high-density inks more evenly for smooth, accurate images with no set-off. It also minimizes ink consumption to reduce supply costs for long runs. Precise image overlay and auto print pressure control offer tighter registration, which enables organizations to generate spot color with near-offset quality at a very affordable cost per page. Designed for efficient, productive performance, the LDD280 can effortlessly produce up to 9,999 conventional impressions in a single run. Plus, a two-color, one-pass printing option allows users to produce multiple-color prints twice as fast. With its advanced print speed, the LDD280 can print more than 1,000 pages in less than eight minutes. The LDD280 also offers several features to streamline workflow and reduce errors. A built-in print controller offers advanced network printing on a wide range of paper stocks. A new delivery tray properly aligns output to ensure fast drying without smudges. Dual friction pads provide accurate feeding. Plus, an automated double-feed detector ensures error-free sheet separation. "The LDD280 offers unparalleled image quality and reliability to make digital duplication more accessible and affordable," said Pontrelli. "Its unique array of features proves that even the largest print runs can be produced with speed, value, and quality."
