Press release from the issuing company

San Antonio, TX (April 12, 2006) -- Yet another groundbreaking grand-format printer from Gandinnovations – the Jeti 3324 UV roll-to-roll (UVRTR) – is hitting the market, boasting many in-demand options and innovative solutions that anticipate the needs of customers in the grand-format industry. The company has announced that this newest addition to its amazing line of Jeti printers will be available to customers worldwide April 2006. The Jeti 3324 UVRTR debuted at ISA, the 60th annual International Sign Expo, April 5-8, Orlando, Florida, and at IPEX, an international exhibition for the printing and graphic arts industries, April 4-11, Birmingham, United Kingdom. The Jeti 3324 UVRTR prints at exceptionally fast speeds without the use of conventional heaters used to dry solvent inks. The fully automated 6-color printer also is more environmentally friendly due to the use of UV inks. Higher resolution images with the speed of a grand-format printer The Jeti 3324 UVRTR comes in 300 or 600 dpi format options, maintaining true production of a grand-format printer. “Our 3-meter roll-to-roll printer is the fastest on the market, and the best on the market,” says the creator of the Jeti printers’ line, James Gandy, who owns and operates Gandinnovations? with his brother, Hary. The head carriage hosts 24 Spectra print heads, while ink designation is 4 heads per color allowing for 6 color combinations. The Jeti 3324 UVRTR print speed is 650 sq. ft/hr (60 sq. meter/hr) in best mode and 1050 sq. ft/hr (98 sq. meter/hr) in production mode with 300 dpi. With the 600 dpi option print speeds will begin at 350 sq. ft/hr (33 sq. meter/hr) in best mode and 650 sq. ft/hr (60 sq. meter/hr) in production mode. The Jeti 3324 UVRTR is designed to print on media types such as frontlit, backlit, adhesive vinyl and virtually any rolled substrates. “We are glad we could perfect the Jeti 3324 UVRTR. As soon as we asked our customers for their opinions, we knew we had to create the next big thing in the Gandinnovations? printer line,” said Hary Gandy, Gandinnovation’s CEO of Worldwide sales. The highly specialized Jeti printers are manufactured at Gandinnovations?’ 120,000 square-foot plant in Toronto, Canada. The worldwide sales and service operation is based out of San Antonio, Texas, with satellite offices in Canada, Mexico, India, United Arab Emirates and Belgium, with distributors around the world. Since the debut of a 3.3 meter-wide model in November 2002, more than 400 Jeti printers have been sold worldwide at costs ranging from $175,000 to $400,000 per printer. The newest Jeti printer continues to cement Gandinnovations? as the innovative leader in the grand-format printer industry. “A linear motor using print heads with tracking magnets provides users of the Jeti 3324 UVRTR with incredibly accurate dot placement within a micron,” says James Gandy. “Other roll-to-roll printers use belts, which are more likely to bounce and create less accurate reproductions.” The printer is also fully automated, with an onboard camera used to tune the heads and automatic cleaning and wiping. “There’s nothing like it in the field today,” James Gandy says. Gandy is also proud of the easy-to-use computer interface, comparable to a state-of-the-art Macintosh computer system for its relative simplicity. “You can walk up to the machine and use it instantly, without any training. For example, all images ripped to the printer show up as thumbnails, then operators can drag and drop the files to the layout page where operators can rotate, flip, scale, and even collage as many files as you like, truly one of the most amazing interfaces in the printer market today.” he said. The Jeti 3324 UVRTR is the latest product release from Gandinnovations?. Currently Gandinnovations? offers the Jeti 3312, Jeti 3318 (3m) solvent printers both available in Dye-Sub, the Jeti 5000 (5m) solvent machine and the Jeti 3150 UV Flatbed. The Jeti comes with the standard 1-year warranty on all parts, including print heads. For more information, visit the company’s website at www.gandinnovations.com, or call 210-344-9566.
