Integrated Color Corp. Releases New Version of ColorEyes Display

Press release from the issuing company

Billerica, Mass., (March 8, 2006) – Integrated Color Corporation, the creator of innovative color management tools for the graphic arts and digital photography industries, is pleased to introduce an upgraded version of its ColorEyes Display monitor profiling software. The latest version, ColorEyes Display 3.2 (Mac), works with most colorimeters and spectrophotometers on the market today and now also supports ColorVision’s Sypder2 colorimeter. Rather than purchasing additional hardware, users are able to simply upgrade their current software to take advantage of the new capabilities offered by ColorEyes Display 3.2. “ColorVision is pleased to have support for our Spyder2 hardware now available in Integrated Color’s “ColorEyes Display 3.2” software,” says David Tobie, ColorVision’s Product Technology Manager. “This is a great combination of two great products, and should meet the needs of many users.” This latest upgrade for ColorEyes Display is for Macintosh platforms only, and features full Direct Digital Control (DDC) for Sony’s new 10-bit SDM-S205K 20” LCD display as well as for most Mac-driven monitors. DDC provides full control of monitor hardware through ColorEyes Display for precise adjustment of white point, black point and color balance, meaning users no longer have to rely on on-screen controls to make necessary adjustments. Improvements to ColorEyes Display 3.2 include LCD display type set to default and a new profile naming scheme including monitor name and date. With the latest updates, users are now able to easily load the gray scratch background without a restart. ColorEyes Display 3.2 is also compatible with systems using dual monitors, including Apple’s Studio Displays. “ColorEyes Display has proven itself to be the highest quality display profile product on the market today,” notes Jack Bingham, vice president of Integrated Color Corp. “The addition of the ColorVision Spyder2 colorimeter brings the advanced features of ColorEyes Display to a market that in the past has had to purchase new hardware in order to upgrade software. Thousands of users will benefit from this new feature.” Users will also enjoy added precision with iterative gray balance measurements, creating the most neutral profiles in the industry, as well as L* gamma support for visually linear profiles. ColorEyes Display also features profile verification to test monitor, profile and instrument accuracy.
