Press release from the issuing company

Vertis announced today the promotion of several members of the premedia team. These individuals are being recognized for their excellence in supporting clients’ needs and their significant contributions. “Premedia continues to be a strong focus for Vertis, especially with the launch of initiatives and services that will give our clients a competitive edge in communicating their brand to the marketplace,” said Dave Colatriano, senior vice president and general manager of premedia and direct mail for Vertis. “Every decision we make reflects our continued goal to provide clients with a superior level of customer service. These new positions will empower David, Brian, and Roni to make critical business decisions to better serve our clients.” Vertis’ premedia division is responsible for consistently communicating a brand’s message on press and in the marketplace to the target audience. The solutions offered include photography, managed services on and near client-site ad production support, film and digital file creation, color management, press fingerprinting, digital file assembly, digital production of flexographic plates, and high-speed file transfer. David Pfeifer has been promoted to senior vice president, sales, premedia services. In this new role, he will manage all sales efforts supporting clients’ premedia needs. David’s clear understanding of the challenges faced by marketers today and his drive for innovations make him an ideal leader for Vertis’ sales teams. Pfeifer joined Vertis in 1997 as president of Gamma One, which was later purchased by Big Flower Holdings, now Vertis. Prior to his promotion, Pfeifer served as regional managing director since 2003. As the new vice president, sales, consumer packaged goods and Midwest region, Brian Sinta will be responsible for the expansion of services to consumer packaged goods manufacturers in this region. His thorough understanding of the industry and his knowledge of photography, design, image/brand consistency, and the printing/converting processes will be fundamental as Vertis expands this category into key markets nation-wide. Sinta has been working at Vertis since 1996. Roni Buczynski has been promoted to vice president, northeast premediaoperations. In this capacity, she is responsible for operations in Vertis managed services facilities at client sites in Portland, Maine and New York City. She will also continue to manage Vertis’ facility in North Haven, Conn., enhancing the out-of-home and large format display graphics capabilities, and other digital premedia solutions. Buczynski began her career in the graphic communications industry in 1986 when she was appointed controller of Gamma One. She became vice president of finance and managing director of Vertis’ North Haven facility in July 2000.
