NewspaperDirect Printing at 2006 Torino Winter Olympics

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--Feb. 10, 2006-- NewspaperDirect (www.newspaperdirect.com) is pleased to announce that it has been chosen to digitally print and distribute leading international newspapers at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. Using a digital printing center in Torino established especially for this event, NewspaperDirect started distributing same-day newspapers in late January to the Media Press Center, the Athletes and Media Villages, the International Broadcast Center, as well as to hotels, retailers, national houses, sponsor venues and residences in Torino. Some of the world's leading newspapers, including the New York Times, Yomuiri Shimbun, Der Tagesspiegel, Gazeta, Neue Zurcher Zeitung, and The Globe and Mail, have chosen NewspaperDirect to print and distribute their newspapers for their readers and sponsors at these games. Key customers include the International Olympic Committee, NBC, Jet Set Sports and over 100 local retailers and hoteliers in the Torino area. NewspaperDirect estimates that it will be distributing on average over 2,700 newspapers per day during the course of these Games. NewspaperDirect distributed digital newspapers at previous Olympics including in 2000 in Sydney, in 2002 in Salt Lake City and in 2004 in Athens. The company distributed at the 2002 World Cup in Japan & Korea, and will be distributing at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, and the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
