Wednesday, February 01, 2006

Press release from the issuing company

Dalim Software is pleased to announce its membership in the Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG), an international organisation of graphic arts industry associations, vendors, and observers, established to create, evaluate, and disseminate best practices, standards and specifications for publishing workflows. Dalim Software is a global leader in the design and development of innovative and automated professional production workflow software for the prepress, print, packaging, advertising and publishing industries. A full member of the CIP4 organisation, the company has achieved several key industry certifications and forged strong alliances with a number of standards organisations. Dalim Software’s file creation applications (DALIM TWiST, DALiM SWiNG, DALiM LiTHO, DALiM PRiNTEMPO and DALiM MiSTRAL) are already fully compliant with all nine GWG vertical market PDF/X-1a PLUS specifications. This ensures secure and productive digital workflows for magazine advertising, newspaper advertising, commercial sheet offset, web offset, packaging, silkscreen, large format digital, and gravure printing. “The Ghent PDF Workgroup’s specifications have become the international benchmark for PDF quality assurance. Dalim Software is dedicated to the development of open standards and we look forward to working with the Group on the ongoing development of streamlined production workflows,” says Carol Werlé, CEO of Dalim Software. David L. Zwang, Vice Chairman of the Ghent PDF Workgroup, says, “One of the reasons why the GWG has been so successful is the collaborative nature of its members. Dalim Software is a respected, customer-first entity and we look forward to its contribution to our work in streamlining graphic arts production. The company is a most welcome addition to the Ghent PDF Workgroup.”
