Press release from the issuing company

PHOENIX, Dec. 8 -- Onyx Graphics, Inc. and Aries Graphics International announced today the availability of the "Design-to-Print" large format printing solution for the sign and display industries. The solution consists of Aries Graphics Sign Wizard(TM) 6 design software, a front-end design program that combines the best of raster and vector graphics, and Onyx Graphics Workflow Version 6.5, the industry-leading color production software. These two programs have been integrated to create a seamless workflow from design-to-print for sign-making applications. Customers of the "Design-to-Print" solution will benefit from increased capabilities and productivity in the design stage, better integration and workflow going to the RIP, and superior quality and color consistency in the final printed output. The companies also announced today a strategic engineering and marketing relationship to further develop and promote the "Design-to-Print" solution. "The signage market continues to grow and with this collaboration, Onyx Graphics brings more value to the workflow and end-product quality for sign shops of all sizes," said Walter S. Noot, President and CEO of Onyx Graphics, Inc. "The integrated products of Aries Graphics and Onyx Graphics create a compelling solution for today's signmakers who have been asking for an easy design-to-print workflow. We are delivering this today," said Jim Fassett, President of Aries Graphics. "We look forward to working with Onyx Graphics to truly deliver on the promise of large format printing for all sign shops." The Design-to-Print solution integrates the design and the production processes into a single coherent workflow. Sign Wizard, a leading front-end design software program in its 15th year in the sign industry, enables users to easily create compelling signs and graphics by combining advanced raster and vector-based capabilities. Finished designs are brought directly into Onyx Graphics software for final checking and printing. "It gives me great satisfaction to see these two market leaders come together in a way that will benefit the industry so much," said Charlie Dick of Major Signs in Suffolk, VA. "I have been using Sign Wizard and Onyx PosterShop(R) together for over a year, and now they are so integrated that it makes it much easier to be in the large format printing business. Now I can just focus on creating great work ... the technical details are taken care of."
