Press release from the issuing company

Hauppauge, New York – Muller Martini, the global pacesetter in print finishing and the market leader in variable size web offset presses, will be offering a full agenda of equipment demonstrations throughout the Print '05 show (September 9-15, 2005 in Chicago, Illinois). In addition, experts from Muller Martini will be continually available to discuss key strategies with individual show visitors, sharing operation-specific insights that can help printers and binderies enhance their profit potential. “Muller Martini is committed to empowering our customers for greater success, engineering advanced technologies and collaborating directly with customers to implement automated workflow processes that optimize productivity at every stage of production,” says Werner Naegeli, President and CEO of Muller Martini Corp. “During Print '05, we invite the industry to see and hear about all the exciting new innovations we've been developing to help printing and binding companies of all sizes increase efficiencies, boost production speeds, expand operational capabilities, and seize new business growth opportunities.” Among the demonstrations Muller Martini will be presenting at Print '05 is the U.S. debut of the new Model 3028 Bolero perfect binding system, which provides the highest levels of automation that Muller has ever built into a perfect binder. Bolero will be demonstrated at the Muller Martini booth, #4018, as part of an entire bookbinding line...running an 8 1/2 by 11-inch journal, then changing over to a 6 by 9-inch product with gatefold cover. Another next-generation advancement making its domestic debut at Print '05 is the Muller Martini Alprinta variable size offset web press, featuring a unique makeready system developed exclusively by Muller. Alprinta will be shown also in the Muller Martini booth printing two different jobs with a changeover in between, underscoring how quickly and easily jobs can be made ready for production on the Alprinta. Furthermore, show visitors will want to be sure to view a demonstration of the Muller Martini Concepta variable size web offset press. Concepta will be shown in the Kodak Graphic Communications Group booth, #6707, in a hybrid offset/digital press configuration, emphasizing new capabilities for in-line customization for the direct mail and other commercial printing markets. Print '05 visitors are also urged to view demonstrations of Muller Martini's impressive line of print finishing technologies. The new 22,000 cycle-per-hour Tempo 22 saddle stitcher, bringing vital advantages to today's demanding printing markets including in-line inkjetting and the ability to handle tip-on production at machine speed. The 9,000 c/hr. Presto saddle stitcher, now being offered with the Palamides automatic 502 banding machine specially designed for 2-up production, will be demonstrated running a two up product. And the 13,000 c/hr. BravoPlus saddle stitcher, boasting unmatched automation in the mid-range class, will be demonstrated at the FASTechnology Group booth #4286. As part of the BravoPlus demonstration, the inside and outside inkjetting capabilities of BravoPlus will be shown to the industry with a cost effective ink jet system that makes in line addressing and personalization also possible in the mid range performance range. Yet another Print '05 highlight that visitors will not want to miss is the demonstration of the Muller Martini SigmaLine, the world's first commercial-quality, totally modular, OnDemand digital book manufacturing solution. SigmaLine was recently named one of the winners of a prestigious 2005 GATF InterTech Technology Award. Muller Martini will be partnering with two other companies at the show to display SigmaLine's configuration possibilities. Show visitors can see various components of the SigmaLine OnDemand solution demonstrated in-line with continuous feed digital print engines at the Xerox booth #1228 (McCormick Place South Building) and at the Nipson booth #12049 (McCormick Place North Building, Level 1). For complete information about the many new and innovative Muller Martini solutions for empowering printers and binderies, and for details about the company's comprehensive agenda of equipment demonstrations, Print '05 attendees should visit the Muller Martini exhibit, booth #4018 (McCormick Place South Building).
