"ABC's of Proofing" is available free via mail or download at www.efi.com and provides printers and their customers with critical information and guidance regarding one of the most important steps in the production of print. "In the fast-paced, competitive world of graphic arts, proofing is a dynamic and rapidly-changing area of the business," said Stefan Spiegel, senior product marketing manager, EFI. "'ABC's of Proofing' explains the basics of proofing and includes tips and hints about how to select proofing solutions that best meet our customers' evolving needs. It's meant to be a proofing primer for our customers, and their clients and employees as well." Soft proofing and monitor proofing are also addressed. The "ABC's of Proofing" presents suggestions for selecting a proofing system, information regarding Colorproof XF, EFI's highly scalable and versatile client/server-based proofing solution, and a helpful glossary of terms. Availability The "ABC's of Proofing" joins the entire ABC's series available for free online at www.efi.com, including the "ABC's of Print MIS," "ABC's of VDP," and the "ABC's of Workflow." At Print 05, held at McCormick Place in Chicago Sept. 9-15, EFI will offer the "ABC's of Proofing" in booklet form in its booth #8315. EFI will also demonstrate Colorproof XF, the industry-acclaimed, client/server-based proofing solution that turns inkjet and laser printers into powerful proofing devices.
