PARAMUS, N.J., AUGUST 16, 2005 – There is still time to submit nominations for the R&E Council of NAPL's Pressroom Operations Manager of the Year Award. The recipient of this prestigious honor will be named Nov. 2, 2005, at the 31st Annual R&E Council of NAPL Productivity in the Pressroom Conference in Chicago. The award recognizes an individual who personifies the principles of leadership in pressroom operations management and has a proven record of providing service to customers and creating value for his or her company. Previous winners include Scott Repa, Pressroom Production manager, Brown Printing (2004); Mike Popp, vice president of Press Operatons, Quad/Graphics (2003); and David Knoff, vice president, Manufacturing, Arandell Corporation (2002). “This Award is a wonderful way for companies to recognize an individual within their organization who excels in the increasingly challenging arena of pressroom management,” said Ron Mihills, R&E Council of NAPL managing director. “I encourage all companies to participate by submitting their nominations now.” Deadline for nominations for the 2005 Pressroom Operations Manager of the Year Award is August 31, 2005. Nominations may be submitted by co-workers, company owners, suppliers, or industry colleagues.
