CC1, Inc. Installs Automatic Register Control Systems at The Dover Post

CC1, Inc., the premier provider of digital Automatic Register Control, Web Video, Register Motorization, and Pre-Registration solutions for the web offset market, is announcing that it recently installed three of its eXaminer Automatic Register Control systems at The Dover Post, a weekly newspaper group serving Delware and surrounding states. CC1’s eXaminer is the most advanced and effective automatic register control for four-color newsprint available today., The newspaper installed the three eXaminers on its two Heidelberg Harris (Mercury model) and one Tensor color towers.. “Our goal was to improve our registration quality and reduce start-up waste,” says Jim Flood Jr., President of The Dover Post. “Since the installation, our quality is definitely superior and our overall registration consistency has been greatly improved. Further, we are seeing a reduction in our waste numbers; the eXaminer has given us a significant overall improvement.” The Dover Post chose CC1’s eXaminer systems after carefully researching the various systems available to the newspaper industry. “The eXaminer is a necessity in today’s newspaper environment,” says Flood. “What was acceptable five years ago is no longer acceptable. Customers are much more demanding in today’s environment. By installing the eXaminer we’ve been able to respond to our customers’ higher quality demands.” The eXaminer Automatic Register Control System from CC1, Inc. provides accurate and consistent automatic control of four-color register (running and sidelay) throughout the press run including start/stops, splices and plate changes.
