FUJIFILM Dimatix Names Torrey Marketing VP

Press release from the issuing company

Santa Clara, Calif.; May 2, 2008 – FUJIFILM Dimatix, the world's leading supplier of drop-on-demand inkjet printheads for industrial applications, today announced Marc Torrey has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Marketing. In his new role, Torrey is responsible for marketing and product planning for all FUJIFILM Dimatix products. He reports to Martin Schoeppler, who was recently appointed company CEO and President.

Commenting on Torrey's appointment, Schoeppler remarked, "It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Marc Torrey to Vice President, Marketing. Marc's 20-plus-year tenure with the company and his multi-disciplined approach – which includes leveraging his previous design, engineering and prototype fabrication knowledge along with his considerable understanding of industrial inkjet markets and the competitive landscape – make him uniquely qualified for this position."

Having joined Spectra, Inc., the predecessor of FUJIFILM Dimatix, when it was founded in 1984, Torrey brings to his new position a diverse background in piezoelectric printhead design and prototype fabrication, system integration and engineering for a broad range of high performance industrial applications. Immediately prior to this appointment, Torrey was OEM Product Marketing and Business Development Director, responsible for those functions worldwide. Previously, he directed the company's sales and technical support operations in Europe. Prior to joining Spectra, he held positions at NASA and Boeing.

Torrey graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He also studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington, and received a Master's degree from Lesley University.
