Delphax Announces Renewal of Service Contract with Canada's Davis + Henderson

Press release from the issuing company

MINNEAPOLIS, May 23 -- Delphax Technologies Inc. announced today that it has entered into a new two-year service and supply contract with Davis + Henderson Limited Partnership, Canada's leading provider of consumer check supplies and a user of several of Delphax's Imaggia digital print systems. Under the new contract, Delphax will provide full maintenance service, spare parts, consumable supplies and other support-related needs for the Imaggia presses through April 2007. The previous service and supply agreement expired April 30, 2005. "Davis + Henderson was among the first North American check printers to recognize the improved efficiency and productivity offered by the Imaggia's high-speed digital print capability when we introduced this system just over six years ago," said Jay Herman, chairman and chief executive officer of Delphax. "We estimate that today approximately 40 percent of all consumer checks produced in North America are printed on Imaggia presses - a trend that we believe foreshadows the broader transition to digital production just beginning in the larger general commercial printing marketplace." The Imaggia is the most advanced printing system of its type. With models that feature document throughput up to 300 simplex pages per minute, the Imaggia II boasts the world's fastest digital sheet-fed output capability.
