Monday, May 23, 2005

Press release from the issuing company

Mechelen/Grandville, May 20, 2005 – PerfectProof and X-Rite today announced a strategic partnership, integrating a number of X-Rite’s advanced color management tools with the ProofMaster range of RIP software. X-Rite’s new Pulse ColorElite System and DTP70 scanning X-Y spectrophotometer will provide ProofMaster customers with one-stop display calibration, input/output ICC profile creation, and certification. The bundled solutions will go on sale through PerfectProof’s extensive network of independent resellers in Europe and the USA starting this month. “This partnership forms a perfect fit with our company’s philosophy to offer our customers a comprehensive yet affordable color proofing solution from start to finish”, said Mark Verbist, General Manager of PerfectProof Europe NV. “Certification of color proofs is increasingly used for quality assurance throughout the production workflow and by integrating X-Rite’s color management tools, we can offer a complete set-up out of the box.” PerfectProof’s ProofMaster and X-Rite’s Pulse ColorElite System and DTP70 are designed for photographers, creative, and printing professionals who require accurate color control and certification throughout the workflow. “We are pleased to work with an industry leader like PerfectProof to provide innovative solutions to the color proofing community,” said Terry Denzcek, X-Rite’s Product Manager, Digital Imaging. “Since we introduced the Pulse ColorElite System and DTP70 at Drupa last year, we have received very positive feedback from industry media and customers. This announcement is significant in that it reflects validation of our new color innovation.”
