Graphic buys a 40-Inch Market With Five-Color Mitsubishi Press

Press release from the issuing company

BURBANK, Calif. — Graphic Visions has announced the purchase of a Mitsubishi Diamond 3000S press, making the 9-year-old commercial printer a fierce competitor in the 40-inch sheetfed market. Graphic Visions installed the new five-color press, which joins an existing six-color press that has been in production for 15 years. Randy Avazian, an owner of the 22-employee firm, said he purchased the Diamond 3000S to increase production and run times and to cut down on overtime. The highly automated Mitsubishi press allows Graphic Visions to quickly deliver brochures, pamphlets, corporate reports and marketing materials. The inline coating capabilities will further afford Graphic Visions greater work-and-turn ability. Diamond Series sheetfed presses are available in a range of sizes — from the 28-inch Diamond 1000 Series to the 56-inch Diamond 6000 Series — and configurations up to 12 printing units. Fast job makeready, ease of operation and high throughput are hallmarks of the Diamond Series. Mitsubishi is working with other vendors toward full integration of Mitsubishi presses into a JDF-compliant workflow.
