Virtual Systems Adds Seward to Team

Seattle, Wash. (April 22, 2008) - Virtual Systems, a developer of high-performance business management solutions for the direct mail, fulfillment and print industries, has announced the addition of Ted Seward as a principle member of the leadership team. He is a 15-year sales, operations and marketing veteran with more than 13 years of executive-level experience in the professional mailing industry. Seward was named Virtual Systems' vice president of marketing and product development on April 10, 2008.

"Ted is a nationally recognized speaker, writer and expert in operations management, variable data printing and mailing," said Virtual Systems President Chris Huber. "He is an excellent fit with our ongoing development efforts. We are delighted to retain such a dynamic, customer-focused leader such as Ted. With the kind of track record in product development and mailing experience that he brings, we are truly excited for our customers."

As an active member of the U.S. mailing industry for more than 15 years, Seward has developed several software and partnering strategies utilizing variable printing solutions, logistics, USPS PLANET Code tracking, list provisioning and many others. He is a nationally recognized presenter, frequently delivering presentations at the National Postal Forum (NPF), MAILCOM, GRAPH EXPO, Mailing and Fulfillment Service Association (MFSA) Annual Conference, and regional Postal Customer Council (PCC) meetings. Seward has served on the leadership team for Xplor International for the Rocky Mountain region, as well as the Northern Colorado PCC. Currently, he is a member of the MFSA Publication and Services Committee, as well as the NPF Advisory Panel. He has written numerous articles related to address quality, logistics and PLANET Code tracking.

As vice president of marketing and product development, Seward is tasked with developing strategies that will extend Virtual Systems' products to further help their customers. As a member of the leadership team, he will offer his extensive experience, perspective and support to further strengthen products in the areas of product extensions and integration. Seward will help to develop powerful and innovative solutions that leverage the technology offerings in Mail-Shop, 3PFmanager and Digi-Shop, as well as other solutions.

Most recently Seward was the director of marketing and communications for BÖWE BELL + HOWELL; prior to that he was vice president of marketing for BCC Software – a BÖWE BELL + HOWELL company. He holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a degree in business administration from Heidelberg College. He lives with his wife and three children in Apex, North Carolina.
