Pitney Bowes Introduces DM Infinity Series Digital Mailing System

Press release from the issuing company

STAMFORD, Conn., Jan. 18 -- Pitney Bowes Inc. today introduced the DM Infinity(TM) Series Digital Mailing System, a new family of digital mailing products for the production mail industry. The DM Infinity(TM) Series is the only digital meter family in the world that can meter up to 22,000 mail pieces per hour and meet the demanding reliability and durability requirements of production mailers. "Production mailers are under extreme pressure to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their customer communications," said Patrick Brand, Vice President, Global Strategy, Product Management and Marketing, Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies. "The DM Infinity(TM) Series was designed to enable mailers to produce more mail in less time with greater results." Traditional digital printing technology requires periodic stoppages to perform self-maintenance. The DM Infinity(TM) Series employs an innovative two print head design, which enables virtually non-stop printing performance even in the highest production volume environments. When combined with Pitney Bowes Advanced Productivity Inserting System (APS), customers can now meter up to 22k mail pieces per hour with one small footprint. Most production mailing systems currently utilize multiple meters to handle high speed mixed weight metering. This results in a significantly increased footprint and potentially reduced reliability. The DM Infinity. Series' Reset-On-The-Fly(TM) technology, however, processes mixed weight mail with one small footprint at up to 18k mail pieces per hour.
