ORIS Color Tuner Excels in Asian Print Awards

Press release from the issuing company

Kuala Lumpur (December 13, 2004) -- One of Malaysia’s largest color separation houses, Imagescan Creative, won the first place gold award for proofing at the first annual Asian Print Awards, using Epson hardware and ORIS Color Tuner software. The award, for overall quality and color match, highlighted Imagescan’s decision to apply CGS/ORIS and Epson technology to meet the proofing demands of its publishing clients in Asia, the Europe and North America. The winning proof was one out of 26 entries. Imagescan’s Managing Director, Steven Lim, thanked the company’s proofing partners for their role in winning industry recognition. “To be able to match our clients’ high standards, a large amount of work has been put into understanding inkjet technology and colour management,” he said. “ORIS Color Tuner is an ideal proofing system, combining software, precise inkjet proofing technology, high-quality ink and proofing-specific paper.” Lim also praised CGS’ Asian sales partner, Build East Graphics, for its strong technical support during Imagescan’s transition to inkjet contract proofing. “Our clientele consistently requires high skills and round-the-clock technical know how, which they provide,” he said. Build East Graphics (www.buildeast.com) is based in Malaysia, but sells and supports ORIS products throughout Asia.
