Chicago Prepress Shop First to Use Agfa's New Flexo Plate

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, Ill (Labelexpo Americas, Booth #5729) – October 10, 2004 – Advanced Prepress Graphics (APG), a prepress facility located in Wood Dale, Illinois, that specializes in high-definition platemaking for flexo printers, has become the first user of Agfa's new AquaFLASH photopolymer plate, the fastest flexo plate available in the North American market today. By exposing AquaFLASH plates with a single point light source, APG's customers get the highest quality plates available. "Our customers enjoy the results they get with Agfa's AquaFLASH," said James Kadlec, owner, APG. "For us, digital processes were deemed to be cost prohibitive. Thankfully, the efficiencies and quality we get from AquaFLASH equals the results from more expensive digital systems." Customers also appreciate APG's high-definition exposure systems, which produce high-quality plates quickly and efficiently. "APG is a great example of a facility that has carefully examined what works best for its customers, and decided that, when all aspects are considered, digital processes are not yet up to the task," said Frances Cicogna, Agfa's packaging segment manager, North America. "With its more environmentally friendly water wash system and speed of platemaking, AquaFLASH is perfect for anyone looking to considerably improve their platemaking capabilities." APG – www.flexoprepress.com – is showing samples of its work at Labelexpo Americas.
