Tim Fischer Joins NAPL As VP, Finance And Member Services

PARAMUS, N.J., SEPTEMBER 27, 2004 – Timothy Fischer, former director of Business Systems for American Color Graphics, Nashville, Tenn., has joined the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) as vice president, Finance and Member Services, effective October 1, 2004. In this newly created position, Fischer will report to NAPL President and CEO Joseph P. Truncale and have broad operational responsibilities, including oversight of the Association’s Finance, Conferences and Continuing Education, and Communications departments. He will be based in the Association’s Paramus, N.J., headquarters. “By putting his extensive management experience and in-depth knowledge of the graphic communications industry to work for NAPL, Tim will play a key role in moving our Association forward and supporting its ongoing mission of unparalleled service to members,” said Truncale, in making the announcement. “We look forward to having him on board.” Fischer has nearly 20 years of graphic communications industry experience in financial, production, information systems, and general management. He joined American Color Graphics in 1985 as division controller, advancing to various positions in the $550 million printing company, including plant manager in 1990, division general manager in 1996, and director of Business Systems in 2002. A frequent speaker at industry events, Fischer has been on the faculty of NAPL’s Management Institute and a guest lecturer at New York University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, and has done course work toward a Master of Business Administration degree at York College. Martin-Iuso Appointed Manager of Information and Research. In other NAPL news, Melanie Martin-Iuso, manager of Information Central for NAPL, has been appointed to the expanded role of manager of Information and Research for the Association, reporting to Managing Director of Consulting Services John Hyde. Martin-Iuso’s appointment represents the Association’s ongoing commitment to strengthening and expanding its consulting services, which help client companies achieve their objectives through strategic transactions and other specialized services. In her new position, Martin-Iuso will continue to manage NAPL’s Information Central, a free information resource for Association members, and take on the added responsibility of conducting research and gathering information in support of those NAPL Consulting Services clients exploring various strategic relationships in the areas of mergers/acquisitions or strategic partnerships.
