Press release from the issuing company

ENGLEWOOD,Colo.(December 18, 2003) – Mail-Well, Inc., one of North America’s leading providers of visual communications services, today issued the following statement regarding the PrintXcel Visalia, California plant. Mail-Well is pleased to announce that PrintXcel's Visalia printing facility has returned to full manufacturing operations. Team members at the facility appreciate the encouragement and support they have received from customers and the community over the past week. They also look forward to continuing the delivery of excellence through exceptional quality print products and customer service. “The Visalia team has done an outstanding job returning the facility to its original productive state,” said Bob Hart, president Mail-Well’s resale segment. “In addition, we want to thank our customers for their patience and understanding during the difficult time, and especially Visalia’s plant personnel and management staff.” On December 9th, an armed individual who was formerly employed by the Visalia plant entered the facility. Two deaths resulted, one of the gunman, and another a current employee of the Visalia facility. In addition, the plant experienced smoke and water damage due to minor fires that had been set by the gunman. A fund has been set up for the family of the deceased Visalia plant employee. Those wish to contribute may do so by send by sending their checks to the Bank of Visalia, 200 S. Court Street, Visalia, CA 93291, payable to: Jose Manriquez II Memorial Fund For the Benefit of His Wife and Children, or by contacting the Bank at (559) 622-9000.
