Press release from the issuing company

San Bruno, CA – July 29, 2003 -- RealTimeImage is proud to announce that The Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) has bestowed the distinguished 2003 GATF InterTech Technology Award recognizing RealTimeImage's innovative online proofing technology found in its RealTimeProof Express solution. "It will enable the industry’s transition to soft proofing, not only for content proofing but also for contract color proofing," noted a GATF InterTech Award judge. RealTimeImage also congratulates partner Kodak Polychrome Graphics for its receipt of the Award for its Matchprint Virtual Proofing System, a joint venture between Kodak Polychrome Graphics and RealTimeImage which includes a suite of Web-based image viewing, collaboration and approval tools from RealTimeImage. Customer nominations for RealTimeProof Express included one from Ro Greene, manager of electronic services at IPC/Mailwell, who said in a letter to the judges: "I find RealTimeProofExpress…surpasses its own promise to reduce approval cycles to the bare minimum. My customers are proactively vocal about their new-found ability, traceable to RealTimeProof Express, to cut their costs while getting their materials out the door faster than ever." Said Tim Schultz, IT Prepress Support for Merrill Corporation, "With 47 offices in 35 cities throughout the United States, Merrill Corporation relies on RealTimeProof Express to accommodate our business needs. RealTimeProof Express has supplied Merrill Corporation with lightening-fast image streaming technology we need to manage our high volume of production in an expedient fashion since 2003." Michael B. Graff, Senior Executive Vice President of Sandy Alexander, said in his company’s nomination letter, "We’ve been using RealTimeProof technology for some time, and the Express solution since January. Again and again we are amazed by the cost and time savings we can achieve and pass on to our customers with RealTimeProof Express." Inaugurated in 1978 to build awareness and understanding of advanced graphic Arts technology, the GATF InterTech Award honors innovative technologies predicted to have a major impact on production and profitability for the graphic communications industry. "This is a wonderful affirmation of our leadership in online proofing," comments Yehuda Messinger, RealTimeImage’s Executive Vice President, Graphic Arts Division. "Since we pioneered online proofing using breakthrough internet image streaming technology, we strongly believed we had developed robust applications that would substantially streamline proofing workflows. "This latest RealTimeProof solution is helping to further grow adoption of online proofing and approval by customers worldwide, as it combines the rich approval toolset of our ASP with a local image streaming server. It complements nicely the rest of our RealTimeProof applications, which all together offer a complete range of online proofing solutions for various needs and workflows. The GATF 2003 InterTech Award is a considerable honor and recognition of the impact of our applications in graphic arts." RealTimeProof Express is based on RealTimeImage’s revolutionary, high-resolution Internet imaging platform for both graphic arts and medical industries. In graphic arts, RealTimeImage has set the highest industry standard for color managed, web-based proofing, approval, and collaboration workflows. RealTimeImage’s technology also makes it possible for other online systems (including those from Kodak Polychrome Graphics, WAM!NET and Printable) to be collaborative and interactive. RealTimeProof Express, the hybrid ASP/local system, combines the workflow management efficiencies of the RealTimeProof.com ASP with a local, high-resolution streaming server. RealTimeProof Express is most suitable for high production volumes or multi-site companies looking for local, secure, image streaming with centralized administration.
