The recipient of a GATF InterTech Award, AMRYS stands for Automatic Makeready System, and lives up to its name by automating the adjustment of the dozens of settings that need to be made on a saddle stitcher to go from one job to the next. A network of servo motors accomplishes that mission, taking its command from Prima AMRYS’s digital controls Prima AMRYS incorporates that advanced technology into a 14,000 cph saddle stitcher that has a strong track record for productivity and durability. As a result, the stitcher can cost effectively handle short runs has well as higher volume work. Operators are guided through Prima’s automated makeready procedure step-by-step via the system’s control panel. Job settings can be stored to facilitate repeat orders, and adjustments can be made on-the-fly to optimize the performance of the machine.
