EFI Showcases Powerful Digital Printing Workflow Solutions at On Demand

FOSTER CITY, Calif. - April 3, 2003 - Electronics For Imaging today announced that powerful new workflow solutions and production printing products will be the focus of their activities at the On Demand trade show in New York, April 7-9. EFI will kick-off the week celebrating the milestone of shipping its millionth Fiery controller; previewing Velocity Exchange, a new online workflow application that connects customers with print providers for more efficient, automated print job ordering; and showcasing an exciting new product developed in collaboration with Xerox Corporation. EFI’s range of industry-leading technologies to increase productivity, reduce costs and deliver precision color output can be seen in booth #3535 at the Javits Convention Center. “EFI is sharply expanding its product line in the commercial and print on demand market to help customers gain greater efficiency and grow their business. Our Velocity software solutions will soon offer complete workflow management from job submission to pre-press to production, making every step of the printing process more streamlined and cost efficient,” said Guy Gecht, EFI CEO. “On the Fiery front, hitting the milestone of one million Fierys shipped is just the beginning. In addition to the latest version of Velocity Balance 2.4 for distributed printing among multiple printers, EFI is previewing Velocity Exchange, which is designed to help print centers streamline the print job order management process. Velocity Exchange enables print centers to provide online digital services to enhance customer communication, improve productivity and make everyday workflow processes run faster and more efficiently. EFI will also be showing Velocity OneFlow for pre-press and computer-to-plate (CTP) workflows.
