Kinko’s Honors Top Branches with Annual Award

Friday, March 28, 2003

Press release from the issuing company

DALLAS - March 27, 2003 - Kinko's, Inc. today announced the results of its annual "U.S. Branch of the Year" competition, which ranks the company's top 50 locations based on superior performance in customer service, sales growth and profitability.  This year's top-ranked Kinko's stores come from 23 states with the top branch scheduled to enjoy a free trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla. this weekend.  "Kinko's is a network of more than 20,000 team members and 1,100 locations, so making the top 50 in this annual competition is an impressive accomplishment," said Gary Kusin, Kinko's president and chief executive officer.  "The number one spot belongs to our Cherry Creek location in Denver, which is a model of superior customer service, operational excellence and business results.  I look forward to joining other Kinko's executives as we mind the store while the Cherry Creek team enjoys their well-deserved weekend getaway." The number-one ranked Cherry Creek Kinko's is located at 3030 East Second Avenue in Denver.   While the regular team is away this weekend, customers will find a different set of smiling faces helping them with their document needs.  Kinko's top executives will take over for the branch team the morning of March 28, and other team members from the area will lend their support throughout the weekend.  Executives staffing the Cherry Creek location will trade their usual office attire in favor of the company's trademark blue aprons.  Participating executives will include members of the company's Dallas-based headquarters as well as regional management. "Being recognized as Kinko's Branch of the Year is a reflection of the hard work of the more than 20 outstanding team members here who strive every day to deliver quality results and exceed customer expectations," said Travis Novak, branch manager for Kinko's Cherry Creek location. "We are truly honored by this award, and we are excited that our company's top executives will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the customers we have the privilege of serving every day as we take off for a fun weekend in Florida." Branches in Sacramento, Calif.; Indianapolis; Oklahoma City; and Tyler, Texas, rounded out the top five in this year's competition.  The managers of all top 50 locations join the company's prestigious President's Club, an elite group recognizing in part the company's best performing locations and managers each year.
