Monday, March 10, 2003
PITTSBURGH, PA (March 10th, 2003) - Printcafe Software, Inc., the operating system for print(tm), announced today that Generation Printing, of Vancouver, BC, has successfully implemented the Printcafe PSI print management system. Generation Printing was formed in 1999 and has specialized in servicing the discerning design and advertising agency market. This young, progressive company has added Printcafe's PSI print management system to complement its computer-to-plate workflow, four sheetfed presses and complete in-house bindery. "We've grown so much over the past four years - most noticeably in the number of staff we employ and the number of jobs processed. It was becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of all the jobs going through the plant and properly capture the associated production costs. Automation was the only solution to ensure we continued our spirited growth," said Edward Kouwenhoven, a founding partner of Generation Printing. "The PSI system provided us the best solution for our needs. The installation gives us a single, integrated system that we are rolling out across our entire facility. It enables us to get information more quickly to the people who need it. Printcafe's vision and the simple integration was another reason why we chose the product." About Generation Printing (www.generationprinting.com) Generation Printing was formed in 1999 by two brothers, Edward and Robert Kouwenhoven, and is Vancouver's fastest growing printer with one of Western Canada's most technologically advanced Heidelberg pressroom.
