Press release from the issuing company

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. & ROCHESTER, N.Y.--Feb. 26, 2003-- Thanks to a recently concluded multi-year supply agreement, Heidelberg and Canon U.S.A. announced they will continue their strategic collaboration in the digital printing marketplace. Under terms of the agreement, Heidelberg will continue to manufacture high-volume black and white digital print engines for Canon's imageRUNNER110 product as well as the new imageRUNNER Pro 150+ product. "Heidelberg has been gratified to see this complementary business relationship in place since 2000 and we're excited to see it continue," said Wolfgang Pfizenmaier, Management Board member and President of Heidelberg's Digital Solution Center. "We have forged a solid track record of accomplishments with Canon, bringing world-class offerings into the marketplace and giving customers in many printing environments an enhanced range of business solutions." "Canon is very pleased to announce our renewed supply agreement with Heidelberg, as our collaboration in serving the high-volume printing market has been mutually successful in meeting our business objectives," said Tod Pike, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Canon U.S.A.'s Imaging Systems Group. "We are hopeful that the imageRUNNER 110 and Pro 150+ will continue their penetration of key Print On Demand accounts, while furthering Canon's brand and dealer sales, and service capability in the market." Canon's imageRUNNER110 and imageRUNNER Pro 150+ high volume digital black and white printers offer high productivity and reliability with digital workflows, and are well suited for data center, financial, education, manufacturing, health care, and graphic arts applications. Personalized and custom high-impact documents - from direct mailings to bound books, billings, newsletters and technical manuals - can be created through these devices' robust system software and print controllers that maintain rated speed of up to 110 ppm and 150 ppm(1) respectively, even when most optional accessories and equipment are attached. The base imageRUNNER 110 and imageRUNNER Pro 150+ engines and print controllers are available from authorized Canon U.S.A. dealers and Canon Business Solutions locations.
