WhatTheyThink Launches "A Printing Office," a Blog for Small and Mid-Sized Printers

Press release from the issuing company

Lexington, KY – WhatTheyThink, the leading media organization serving the printing and publishing industry, today launched the newest addition to its family of online communities: A Printing Office, a blog created specifically for small and medium printers.

Located at http://blogs.whattheythink.com/printing-office/, A Printing Office will be continuously updated with information and commentary for printing firms employing fewer than 100 people. It will serve as a forum on business and technology issues for all companies in this segment, which represents almost 95% of all U.S. printing establishments. The site also offers links to news, videos, and other print-focused blogs and networks.

A Printing Office is moderated by Patrick Henry, executive editor of WhatTheyThink and an award-winning journalist who has covered the printing and graphic communications industry since 1984.

“Our hope is that this blog will become a virtual peer group where discussion is driven by topics of direct and practical interest to printers in the small to mid-sized segment,” said Henry in an inaugural post. “The goal will always be to give these firms a destination on the web that they can call home, where the door to good advice and friendly support will always be open.”

“There has long been a need for blog aimed at the companies that make up the bedrock of our industry,” said Randy Davidson, president of WhatTheyThink. “Everyone who owns, manages, works for, sells to, or buys from small and medium-sized printing businesses is welcome to share knowledge and opinion at A Printing Office.”

The blog joins WhatTheyThink’s other online communities: Print CEO, for C-level executives in the printing industry; Digital Nirvana, on evolving technologies for business growth; Going Green, a resource for environmental compliance and sustainability; and the Economics & Research Center, featuring economic updates and strategic advice from Dr. Joe Webb. All can be accessed at http://blogs.whattheythink.com

WhatTheyThink also maintains the print industry’s leading online source for news and opinion at its main site, http://www.whattheythink.com; and hosts PrintPlanet.com (http://printplanet.com), a collection of open-discussion technical forums.
