L+L Printers Acquires A Copy World

Press release from the issuing company

Paramus, N.J. -- L+L Printers of San Diego and Carlsbad, CA, has acquired A Copy World of San Diego, CA.  Specific terms were not disclosed, but under the agreement, L+L Printers will acquire A Copy World customers and employees.

“We are very pleased to join forces with L+L Printers,” said A Copy World President/Owner Mary Matson. “L+L Printers has long enjoyed an excellent reputation for the quality of its work and superior service.  This acquisition allows us to provide a wider range of services and capabilities for our customers’ expanding graphic communications needs.”

NAPL, the not-for-profit management association for business excellence in the printing and graphic communications industry, provided strategic advisory consulting services to member-client A Copy World on the transaction.  NAPL’s Merger & Acquisition Advisory Services is part of the organization’s Print Consulting Services Group.  Under the direction of John Hyde, vice president, senior consultant and head of NAPL’s Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory Services, NAPL conducted a confidential outreach campaign and located candidates with whom their client met. Soon after the initial meeting between the owners of L+L Printers and A Copy World, an agreement was reached and the deal was finalized.

According to Hyde, “These companies are doing everything right to position themselves for future success and growth. This type of operational consolidation is one of many strategies that NAPL recommends to help companies become more competitive, productive and valuable to their clients.”
