Atlantic Zeiser, a leading innovator and technology supplier for narrow-width digital printing processes, introduces the Xaar 1001-based GAMMA 70 inkjet print module to the international market at Fespa Digital, 12-14th May  2009 in Amsterdam.

The full-colour GAMMA 70 is a high-speed, single-pass UV solution that incorporates Xaar 1001 greyscale printheads to produce stunning quality, high-resolution 360dpi images on a wide variety of porous and non-porous materials (e.g. plastic cards and films, metallic foils, cardboard and paper). With a print width of 70.5cm (27.75in), the GAMMA 70 can be integrated in-line with sheet-fed or web systems. 

The combination of Xaar printheads, Atlantic Zeiser controller and data preparation software enables the GAMMA 70’s impressive top print speed of 24m/min. In addition to the traditional target markets, such as packaging and labeling, commercial print, security print and card manufacturing, the new full color UV inkjet printing system is also particularly suitable for labels printing and industrial product identification on substrates beyond the usual paper and cardboard. When mounted on an Atlantic Zeiser Persoline ID card production system it already is capable to produce up to 6,000 full colour personalised cards an hour. The variable drop capability of the industrial-strength Xaar 1001 printhead consistently produces smooth tone graphics, fine detail, sharp text and bar codes to generate outstanding results quickly, cost-effectively and reliably. The new system is also highly flexible as an industrial level full-colour marking system. A choice of UV curing systems are available to suit specific applications. These include Atlantic Zeiser's new eco-friendly SMARTCURE LED UV curing system for temperature sensitive products. A machine equipped with Gamma 70 will be on show at Fespa Digital, stand number N65, to demonstrate its capabilities on various sample materials – live in production.
