A New Document Finisher is on the Horizon

Tuesday, October 29, 2002

Press release from the issuing company

(Andover, MA) – At Xplor in Anaheim, October 28th – 30th Standard Finishing Systems, Horizon International, and Xerox will be showing the recently released Standard Horizon ColorWorks 2000, an innovative all-in-one document finisher designed exclusively for operation in-line to the Xerox DocuColor 2000 Series Digital Color Presses. The ColorWorks 2000 will be shown in line with a DocuColor 6060 Digital Color Press in Xerox’s booth number 900. The product of a close engineering alliance between Horizon International and Xerox Corporation, the ColorWorks 2000 has been designed from the ground up to meet the unique requirements of in-line digital color document production. Professional-quality document production is managed through an icon-based touch screen, for quick, easy and accurate set-ups. Edge-to-edge full color bleeds are made possible with rotary head and foot trimming of posters, brochures, or booklets. And in-line scoring helps improve fold quality and avoid image-cracking induced by cross-grain stock. The compact ColorWorks system performs corner, side and center-stapling functions, with booklet folding and face trimming. Finished booklets are delivered to an integrated vertical stacker for convenience and space efficiency, while flat sheets are delivered to an offsetting catch tray. An integrated suction cover feeder is also available, and an optional rotator to permit nearly all finishing styles on all common paper sizes will be released later in the year. The Horizon CW-2000 brings new finishing functionality to the Xerox DocuColor 2045, 2060, and 6060 and opens up a range of applications for new and existing customers. Standard Finishing Systems, a division of Standard Duplicating Machines Corporation, is based in Andover, Massachusetts. Standard, a leading supplier of print finishing systems and reprographic equipment, markets its products through a network of independent dealers in the United States and Canada.
