Tuesday, October 29, 2002

Press release from the issuing company

High-Volume Digital Black & White Printing Systems at XPLOR 2002 in Anaheim, CA   Anaheim, CA – October 29, 2002 – Nipson is featuring its recently launched product line in booth #680 at the XPLOR 2002 Show in Anaheim, CA, October 27-30, 2002.  Its display features the new Nipson 8000, one of the fastest, widest digital production presses for transaction, direct mail, print-on-demand, identification, and security applications. Providing ease of operation, lack of make-ready expenses, and low acquisition and operating costs, the Nipson 8000 is an extremely cost-efficient tool for production printing, and an excellent investment for long-term profitable operation. The Nipson 8000 at the booth is printing transaction statements on a continuous web, utilizing a Roll Systems unwinder and cutter/stacker for pre- and post-processing.   Also featured at the booth is a Nipson 7000 digital press, printing direct mail promotional labels. Both presses incorporate Nipson’s magnetographic technology and cold flash toner fusing. This unique, non-impact fusing system does not heat the printed substrate, allowing easy throughput and finishing of a wide range of self-adhesive substrates and special materials used for barcodes, tags, tickets, security printing materials and plastic cards. This process enables extremely fast and reliable continuous printing that is ideal for high volume, variable text and on-demand applications.   “XPLOR is an excellent forum for digital print providers to meet the new Nipson and view the systems and applications profiting business worldwide,” says Alain Flament, president of Nipson America, Inc. “We offer the broad capabilities, flexibility, and durability that many print providers are seeking today in their digital presses as they merge previously-distinct printing functions into a centralized operation.”   For more information about Nipson and its activities at Xplor, contact Dave Dunn, director of marketing at 847-357-9210.
